Join RVC and our region's NJ Watershed Ambassador for a stream study program on Saturday, 6/20 from 10AM-1PM at Beech Ridge Preserve, located at 60 Belcher Rd, Blairstown, NJ 07825 (closest street address, parking is 1/10 mile westbound on Belcher Rd).
Join us for a hands-on stream monitoring study where volunteers will learn how to measure stream flow, depth, and temperature, and substrate characteristics, then collect and identify aquatic macroinvertebrates. Discover how these fascinating stream creatures help us understand and assess local water quality.
We always recommend you bring a water bottle and wear sturdy shoes, long pants, a head covering, and tick/bug repellent. For this event specifically, we ask you bring rain boots or waders if you have a pair!
