Windkissed Farm falls within a regional farmland preservation corridor. It contains open grassland habitat, wooded wetlands, and a stream corridor. Skunk cabbage, various native ferns, milkweed, New York ironweed, and native grasses are present on the property. Fields are farmed for hay production.


The farmland preservation easement on Windkissed Farm was acquired in 2013, using grants from the NJ State Agricultural Development Committee (SADC) and the US Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program.
