Hawk Watch at Raccoon Ridge

Join RVC Trustee & Naturalist Dennis Briede for a hike to the top of the Raccoon Ridge Hawk Watch. Raccoon Ridge is the premier spot to observe the migrating hawks that pass through northern NJ on their way south. This will be at the peak migration for broad-winged hawks. Every year at this time thousands of these hawks can be seen passing by the ridge.  Enjoy spectacular views. Bring lunch, water, binoculars & sturdy footwear. Meet up on the highway side of the ACME parking lot at 152 State Route 94, Blairstown at 8AM to car pool to the Yards Creek Generating Station. From there (parking lot in the back) we will hike to the top of Raccoon Ridge.
(Address of Yards Creek: Kaiser Trail Parking Lot, 117 Walnut Vly, Blairstown.)
